My kitchen is very small so you get the feeling you are right inside, its noisy as hell. The Gastherme working together with the electric kettle was pure coincidence, first i wanted to record the kettle only. and yes the mic stood 10cm next to the kettle with low gain.

Somehow this sound is dramatic for me. And its sounds like you stuck the mic right inside.
