It's a plastic tub full of lentils (those lense shaped peas?) in which i scoop up hands full of lentils and let them drop again. The lentils are very smooth to the touch. The microphone is directly above the tub and near. I was suprised there was so much bass and it sounded more like a machine sound after recording.
This will be the first sound i upload from many with that tub full of lentils.
I am sure this is interesting raw material for ongoing filtering and appliing effects to get something very different from what it is.
